Description
My friends raise Shetland sheep and, after showing them a skull I had decorated, they gifted me this skull. I knew immediately I needed to use him in a still life to honor him.
The folks raise the sheep for their wool, some of which is wrapped around the bobbin in the center of the image. The purple roses and the dried thistle in the image represent Scotland as the sheep are from the Shetland Isles.
This image was created using the HDR feature on my camera, at an exposure of 15 seconds.
