This image, created by manipulating my telephoto lens, reminded me of the Emily Dickenson line, "Because I could not stop for death, He kindly stopped for me; The carriage held but just ourselves and immortality."
I had been playing with this still life for over an hour, trying to do something for dia des los muertos but having no luck. Then, my brain asked, "What if..." and I listened.
We all move so quickly through our world, ultimately rushing toward our death rather than enjoying the life we've been given.
