Living in the St. Louis area has its perks. One such perk is the Missouri Botanical Gardens. While there, you can visit the "Climatron" and, if you are lucky, catch a glimpse of the resident geckos. Catching this one was pure luck. My daughter was behind me, I turned to look over my shoulder, and there he was at the perfect level for this shot.

Self-taught photographer and Best of Missouri Hands Juried Artist, Holly Ross has explored a wide variety of subjects, but always returns to the more natural elements of our world. Her photos have been described as having an “eclectic mixture of soft, near watercolor effects on florals – almost Japanese in delicacy and Zen-like in simplicity – contrasted with the sharp, clean linear architectural images.” With her photography, she seeks out vantage points that others might pass by.
