Photographing bald eagles in the wild is really a thrill. The bald eagles my daughter and I saw (on our whale watch turned bird watch on the Bay of Fundy) were no exception. They were all less than 10 yards away, which was fantastic!

Self-taught photographer and Best of Missouri Hands Juried Artist, Holly Ross has explored a wide variety of subjects, but always returns to the more natural elements of our world. Her photos have been described as having an “eclectic mixture of soft, near watercolor effects on florals – almost Japanese in delicacy and Zen-like in simplicity – contrasted with the sharp, clean linear architectural images.” With her photography, she seeks out vantage points that others might pass by.
