It isn't often that you encounter an image such as this. These are mating paper lace butterflies at the Sophia Sachs Butterfly House in Chesterfield, MO, just outside St. Louis.

About Holly Ross
Self-taught photographer and Best of Missouri Hands Juried Artist, Holly Ross has explored a wide variety of subjects, but always returns to the more natural elements of our world. Her photos have been described as having an “eclectic mixture of soft, near watercolor effects on florals – almost Japanese in delicacy and Zen-like in simplicity – contrasted with the sharp, clean linear architectural images.” With her photography, she seeks out vantage points that others might pass by.
