Artist's Description
How in the world do you photograph such an icon in a unique manner? It may be safe to say that this Scottish castle has been photographed millions of times through the years. According to the website for Eilean Donan Castle, the first structure was built there during the 13th century. During the Jacobite Uprising in 1719, however, it was virtually destroyed. The castle lay in ruins until the early 1930's when it was rebuilt, becoming the icon it is today.
