Driving across Interstate 70 through Illinois, I decided to just take a short detour to capture the nature of the area near Casey, IL. On one side of the interstate is the town, the other side looks like this.

About Holly Ross

Holly Ross

Self-taught photographer and Best of Missouri Hands Juried Artist, Holly Ross has explored a wide variety of subjects, but always returns to the more natural elements of our world. Her photos have been described as having an “eclectic mixture of soft, near watercolor effects on florals – almost Japanese in delicacy and Zen-like in simplicity – contrasted with the sharp, clean linear architectural images.” With her photography, she seeks out vantage points that others might pass by. Another client described her work as, “visual poetry… emotions captured in ink and moments caught as if time could be glued to paper.” Holly’s intent is to seek out those more intimate ‘scapes’ and provide just a glimpse into a world,...
